I’m not one for believing the most expensive is the best when it comes to skin care. In fact, a lot of the cheaper supermarket/drug store brands are just as good, if not better than the super expensive, super exclusive brands found elsewhere. This is especially true when it comes things like cleanser, toner, moisturizer, hand cream etc. Personally, I only go for the more expensive brands when it comes to anti aging type products and serums.
La Roche-Posay
That leads to me La Roche-Posay, my favorite cosmetic brand for day to day, basic cosmetics. I have quite oily skin so use (and love) their cleanser and mattifying moisturizer from their Effaclar range which is designed especially for my type of skin. It works really well and I can get through the day without getting too shiny. Of course, they have ranges for all other skin types including for skin prone to redness, very dry skin, and aging skin. I definitely recommend trying out this brand which is especially beneficial for those with sensitive skin.
Other top products can be found in their sunscreen range. I like to wear sunscreen everyday and they have some of the best and lightest sunscreens on the market. Their sunscreens are fragrance free and paraben free and the daily use of these products is a surefire way to prolong to onset of aging.
La Roche-Posay have lots of other products which I am yet to try but will definitely check out their anti-wrinkle creams and serums at some point, just to compare with what I am currently using. I will most likely test their shampoo and conditioner at later date too as I imagine these would be very light, which I like. I’ll update this post when I have done further testing.
